The Clip Helps Secure the Lens Flipper onto a Belt or Strap

Last year, we reported on the Lens Flipper, an accessory by GoWing that allows you to easily swap lenses. The Flipper is essentially a wearable dual sided mount that enables you to connect and carry lenses while not in use. Now, the company is on Kickstarter in an attempt to raise funds for ‘the Clip’: an accessory that allows you to attach your Lens Flipper to any strap or belt.

The Lens Flipper is currently available for Canon, Nikon, Sony E, Sony A, and Micro 4/3rd mount lenses for $90 each. Here’s a short clip by photographer Sam Cornwell showing the invention in action:

While the Flipper alone generated quite a bit of interest from photographers, the Clip allows you to get it off the included over the shoulder strap and onto a more sturdy strap or belt. According to GoWing, the Flipper and Clip combined can bear 220 lbs and 132 lbs respectively. The Clip also has a number of safety features, including a safety rope, to ensure your lenses never drop.

Those who are interested in receiving a Clip for their existing Flipper will only have to pledge $35 to receive it, along with a lens cap to protect your Flipper from dirt. The standard price for a Clip, Flipper, and Cap is $109, but there a few limited early bird pledges for $95. If you pledge more money, you can obtain multiple clips and flippers.

The project is aiming to raise $30,000 and has raised $13,500 with 20 days to go at the time of this article being published. To read more about the Clip, be sure to visit the Kickstarter campaign by clicking here.
