Make the Jump to a 4K Monitor for Only $700 with This New 27-inch, 60Hz, IPS Dell Display

Missed that Cyber Monday deal on the 28-inch 4K Dell monitor for only $300? Or decided to skip it because it was a TN panel and not IPS? No worries, Dell just announced two new monitors that are yet again setting a new low-price bar for jumping into the 4K game — and these are IPS panels with 60Hz refresh rates!

The main complaint about the Cyber Monday Dell monitor was that this monitor was a TN panel and therefore really not worthwhile for photographers. Adding to that disadvantage was the fact that it was also only a 30Hz monitor, so video editors really couldn’t use it.

Both of these issues are no more in the $600 and $700 24-inch 2415Q and 27-inch 2715Q IPS 4K monitors just announced a couple of days ago.

You’ve got an IPS panel, 60Hz refresh rate, 1.07 billion colors and 99% sRGB coverage. Additionally, you’re set port-wise. You’ve got DisplayPort 1.2 in/out connectors (two regular and one mini), 4 USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port as well.

At that price, these monitors are neigh unbeatable for the specs. The closest competitor, as Engadget points out, is the Samsung 28-inch U28D590D which, like the Dell monitor we told you about on Monday, is a TN display.
