Marmot Interrupts Glacier National Park GoPro Time-Lapse in the Cutest Way Possible

What better way to start your day than with some cute-ness in the form of an adorable little marmot licking a GoPro. Normally reserved for more adventurous encounters, it looks like this little action cam is made for the adorable moments as much as the extreme.

The video was shared by Greenpeace USA and features the little guy precariously sniffing around before eventually giving the lens of the GoPro a little taste test. As you could probably expect, Greenpeace included a bit of context to the view and creature, sharing the following in the video’s description:

In Glacier National Park, global warming is melting glaciers and shrinking the alpine tundra environment as treelines move higher up the mountains. Shrinking tundra threatens marmots and other animals that live up high in these mountains.

At less than a minute long, this interrupted time-lapse is both short and cute, so press play and give it a watch.

He needs to work on his composing skills.

I like marmots but I hate their little Pika cousins ever since one turned my only pack of cigarettes into part of her nest while I slept in her cave – it was a tough climb and hike out the next day.

he is licking the salt off of the case. Hmm. I am a marmot. Would I like it freezing cold all the time, or maybe a degree warmer. Hmmm.

Oh great, now Marmots are getting in on the photography biz… guaranteed next week on petapixel there’ll be some self portrait photography project done by a marmot where they’re floating in various place around glacier national park… and hispters like me will be like “wow, it’s freaking amazing i’ve never seen anything like it in my life”

Hopefully the marmot will get a piece of the ad action generated by youTube. Otherwise, he/she will no doubt be lawyering up.

So… if they were using the time lapse feature on their GoPro, how does it switch to normal speed video? Is there a cute animal trigger I don’t know about?
