The Picquest Mobile App is Like Uber, Only Instead of a Ride You Find a Photographer

Following in the footsteps of the crowd-sourced transit app Uber and others like it, a new iOS and Android app called Picquest is bringing the same sort of on-demand location-based service to potential photography clients.

Set up as a hybrid between a marketplace and social media platform, photographers can create a profile for their photography business to which they can upload images from their portfolios and detail specifics about what type of services they offer.

Potential clients can then browse through the app, follow photographers’ Picquest profiles, send them messages, view their portfolio, and hire whomever fits their needs.

Featuring a simple design with an intuitive layout for both the profile pages and the browsing experience, Picquest offers a unique marketing platform for photographers who are looking to stand out and get their name and services recognized in a simple and effective method.

Right now, the free app is only available for download on iOS, but Picquet claims an Android version will is “coming soon” to the Google Play Store. To learn more or if you’d like to keep up with Picquest updates, check out the app’s website or follow Picquest on Facebook and Twitter.
