Stunning ‘Awakening’ 4K Time-Lapse Will Awaken Your Desire to Visit New Zealand

Okay, to be fair, if you’re of the photographic persuasion (and chances are good seeing as you’re reading this) then your desire to visit places like New Zealand and Iceland doesn’t need any more ‘awakening.’ It’s like a wanderlust itch that just won’t go away until you book that flight, pack the gear you do own, rent the gear you don’t, and get you a** out there.

Still, this gorgeous time-lapse by photographer Martin Heck won’t help things one bit.

Shot over the course of 4 months in New Zealand, Awakening is only part one of four, and if the first part is any indication, then we’re in for some truly spectacular visuals.

Heck spent his time in Middle Earth New Zealand “traveling through amazing landscapes, sleeping under the stars, hiking on mountains and exploring remote roads” with a Canon 6D, Canon 550D (T2i), 24-105mm f/4L, 70-200 f/4L, 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6, Samyang 14mm f/2.8, Dynamic Perception Stage One and eMotimo TB3 Black in tow.

Post processing was done in Lightroom 5, LRTimelapse, After Effects and Premiere Pro CS6.

So start off your lazy Sunday with a glorious time-lapse experience by clicking play at the top, and then head over to the Timestorm Films website and Facebook page to see more of Heck’s impressive work.
