Will It Beard: Fun Photo Series of Random Household Items Stuck in a Man’s Beard

Red Poppy Photos by Stacy Thiot

Here’s something that’ll help you start off the week with a grin (or a grimace, if you harbor an aversion to beards). Will it Beard is a fun photo experiment of sorts created by art director Pierce Thiot and his photographer wife Stacy Thiot.

They wanted to determine what household items ‘will beard’ — meaning what random objects they could successfully pack into Mr. Thiot’s beard — and got a fun, viral photo series for their troubles.

As it turns out, just about anything ‘will beard,’ and this little photo experiment has turned into an ongoing series/Tumblr blog, which you can find here. Items stuck inside Thiot’s well-groomed facial accoutrement include shaving razors (the irony is not lost on us), toothpicks, gummy worms, birthday candles, LIT matches and much more.

Here’s a sample of what you’ll find over on the Will it Beard Tumblr:

Of course, the Thiots have more serious work in their portfolios as well. Mr. Thiot seems to work primarily with sports imagery, while Mrs. Thiot specializes in engagements, weddings and lifestyle photography through her company Red Poppy Photography.

To find out more about either of the Thiot duo, head over to their websites as linked above. And if you want to keep up with them as they cram even more household items in Mr. Thiot’s beard, you can do so by following the Will it Beard Tumblr or Instagram.

I hate to be that person, but why can’t she be reffered to as “Ms. Thiot” instead of Mrs? Thanks.

  • Tooki

It’s a matter of personal preference. Ms. is the more professional, politically correct option, but there’s nothing wrong with using Mrs. if the person in question doesn’t mind (and is married, obviously).

    Why aren’t you MsCaustic?

I haven’t been able to change my username for some odd reason on Disqus. I don’t really want this username as my commenting device. :P

    Really??

She’s married. To a man. I’m sure if it was a problem she’d square that away with the author. I think they are pretty fun to have shot this series. As a married couple. Mr. and Mrs. Thiot.

    Hooray married couples?

    Amazing!

Some day, shaving will be cool again. Can’t wait.
