external Sony’s Cheaper NEX Full-Frame May Sell for as Little as $1,600 (Body Only) —SAR

rx1We said we’d keep you updated, and we intend to keep our word. In addition to the details shared in yesterday’s rumor roundup, a fresh piece of info has just leaked that sonyalpharumors has labeled as “almost certainly correct.”

The cheaper of the two Sony NEX full-frame cameras expected to be announced mid-October, the A7, is said to cost as little as $1,600 body only, and only about $2,000 with a 28-70mm kit lens. That’ll make it significantly more affordable than the Nikon D600 and Canon 6D, which are both going for about $2,000 (body only) on Amazon.

And next to no native lenses? Thanks, I’ll pass.

Most NEX buyers (specifically NEX-7 buyers) use their NEX with legacy lenses. It gives back life to their old lenses. They sure will welcome FF replacement for their NEX-7.
