external Google+ Photos Free Storage Upped to 15GB. Kinda. —Google Drive Blog

googleplusphotosGoogle+ users: you can now store up to 15 gigs of photographs through the service. Well, kinda.

Instead of having separate quotas for Gmail, G+ photos, and Drive, Google is now consolidating everything under a 15GB free storage limit. If you don’t use Gmail or Drive, you’ll be able to store triple the photo data you could before.

Note that the limit still only applies to photos larger than 2048×2048. Photos at or below that resolution still won’t count toward the increased quota.
