Landscapes Illuminated by a Floating and Glowing Square

Montreal-based photographer Benoit Paillé‘s Alternative Landscapes project features photos of various outdoor locations lit with a glowing square. The images aren’t Photoshopped: Paillé actually suspends a 1×1 meter cube for the beautiful illumination seen in his images.

the guys wrote he hates landscapes… i wonder what that means?
he hates photos of landscapes or he hates nature?
well i don´t hate his pictures.. but that glowing square gets boring really fast. :)

I’ve seen a lot of ‘shape’ themed images and groups around flickr and suspect it may have something to do with [in my opinion] the nonsense of ‘socionics’… In any case, these are great.

Would be nice if they were a little more varied, but I like it.

I’ve been enjoying his photos for a long time. These shots are definitely a little old – he definitely seems to enjoy the portraiture a lot more from what he posts.

that`s really strange cause i`ve seen tons of landscape pictures in his stream.

i find his work to be overrated.i know he has technical skills and kudos to them, but i don`t find too much spirit in his photography.
