Giving Away an ONA Camps Bay Camera Backpack Worth $429

Update: This giveaway is now over. The winner was randomly selected and announced below.

It’s a bit of a slow news day, but we have something neat to make up for it: a camera bag giveaway. We’re giving away a Camps Bay backpack by ONA worth $429. Crafted out of waxed canvas and leather, the stylish backpack can hold a DSLR with a large lens attached, along with up to 7 extra lenses, a laptop, and personal items.

To enter this giveaway, all you need to do is:

Tell us what you love most about photography

There are two ways to enter, and doing both methods will give you 2 entries in the contest, and thus double the chance the win!

  1. Leave your response as a comment on this post
  2. Tweet your response, and include the following text anywhere in the Tweet:

    http://bitly.com/onabpp #onabags

As long as this text appears in the tweet, you’ll be automatically entered in the contest.

Sorry, but shipping is free only to US residents. If you’re based overseas and enter, you would be responsible for shipping if you win (we’re not sure how much that would be yet). This contest will end on Friday November 4th, 2011. We’ll randomly pick a winner using random.org and update this post. Good luck!

Update: This giveaway is now over. We received 786 comment entries and 442 Tweet entries for 1228 entries overall. The randomly selected winner is…

i love photography because it captures not only moments in time, but emotions. i love how when i take the time to document my daily life (the things that seem so ordinary), i can look back at those photos and see how my life has changed or how i’ve grown. so cool.

I dont just love capturing a moment, i love creating an image. Working towards that perfect shot, wether thats spreading water from a gutter around with your wet shoe because you liked the reflection it gave your final image or driving for hours looking for a neat place to shoot. Every time I go shooting its with friends and laughing behind the camera during my 20, 10 minute long exposures, in the bitter cold, is what creates the strongest memorys for me.  My personal “photography” is the basis of every fond memory in my life. I love my photography because i love my life.

This bag is the answer to my prayers!  Finally something that will lug around a 17″ laptop and all my gear, leaving me hands free to actually get down and dirty with my photography (especially outdoors), and with looks to boot!  Don’t know what the complaints are about the price tag in some other reviews – when you’re carrying around potentially tens of thousands of dollars on gear, a couple bills is nothing!

  • Adam Jay

Without a doubt, my favorite thing about photography is the ability to stop time!  Thanks for the giveaway!

I love the rush  when you know you have captured that perfect moment that says soooo much!

  • Jaykennard

An absolutely beautiful bag!  I have just started my mission of creating a full-length, time lapse movie of all the beautiful places in my home province of Saskatchewan, in Canada.  It has taken me almost 5 years to get the canoe, camping equipment, and camera supplies to be able to take my first steps.  This camera bag would not only look amazing on my back, but would also just be a confirmation that I’m headed in the right direction.  A little karmic retribution perhaps?  Seriously though…so much thought into design is admirable in a day of mass produced crap.  Well done!

  • Simon Dewey

I love the unpredictability of holding an experiment both inside and outside the camera simultaeneously.

  • NovacaineFix
