Adobe Carousel: Unlimited Cloud-Based Photo Storage and Sharing

Adobe announced a new cloud-based photo storage and sharing service today called Carousel, which will let you store all your photos at a central location, making it easy to view, share, and edit them — using a Lightroom/ACR-based engine — on any device you own. It’ll only be available for Apple users in the beginning (e.g. Macs, iPhone, iPad), but Android and Windows versions are in the works. The service will cost $9.99/month or $99/year, and the free apps will be released later this month.

so in the end all the photos are stored somewhere online and if for some case you don’t have an internet connection you can’t access the photos.

When they’ll integrate it with Lightroom, I’ll be sold.

I love all things Adobe, but Picassa/Google does the same thing. Make changes to your pics w Picassa, CS5, LR, whatever, Picassa recognizes the change and will re-sync it to the cloud.

And their prices are much cheaper.

Not interested is buying anything new other than LR and PS. I understand the drive behind the product just not interested in another way to edit my photos. Then there is the group editing thing. I don’t like my wife to change my photos and she helped make them. Why would I share my editing with someone else.
