I love doing this sort of thing! My friend’s Dad use to do Photography as a twenty something, and now my friend (his son) is doing the same thing. We found an old photo of his Dad and his friend on a park bench and spent a day trying to recapture it down to the very last detail. We wanted to go back to the place where it was originally captured but it was miles away and was knocked down anyway. We instead searched our city for walls closest to the one in the picture with a bench as well. We nearly went as far as to graffiti the wall we were positioned at as the picture had a piece of graffiti in frame that was extremely noticable. In the end we didn’t do that we just photoshopped it but that was because of the place the picture was took (inside an old cathedral, I’m not going to graffiti a cathedral!). We ended up doing a few and also doing a joke one where we would photoshop ourselves into the original with our arms around his Dad and friend.

Is this a copycat of Irina Werning’s work (same idea and same serie’s title) ?

The projects are too similar, this can’t be a coincidence. Even the title. I stumbled across Irina Werning’s project a couple months back and fell in love with it.

I agree Irina Werning’s work is better, but these are still charming :)
