Gorgeous Time Lapse of the Space Needle in Seattle

Philip Bloom shot this beautiful time-lapse video using a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon Rebel T2i, Canon Rebel T3i and Panasonic GH2. All the cameras were pointed out of a hotel window on a pretty cloudy and gloomy day.

What’s neat is that Bloom also made this behind-the-scenes video showing the setup he used. You can see his different cameras mounted on tripods and on the window, snapping away at regular intervals:

Bloom also did a small writeup on this quick project here.

Paul Horiuchi’s Seattle Mural and the Space Needle, Seattle Center, Seattle WA. It’s been the backdrop of the aptly-named Mural Amphitheater since 1962. They’re restoring it for the 50th anniversary of the Seattle World’s Fair.

This photo is an HDR panorama made out of a total of 10 images: 2 frames of 5 images each exposed at between .5 and 15 seconds at f8, 21mm. I created a 5-layer pano out of the source images and merged those to hdr and then tone mapped the output.
